Steering Wheel Installation Guide

1. Pre-Installation Verification

Before installation, verify that the custom steering wheel matches the vehicle's spline, bolt pattern, and electronic connector. Confirm that all OEM functions — heating, airbag, lane assist, cruise control, and touch controls — are present on the replacement wheel.

2. Safety Precautions

Steering wheel installation involves the airbag system. Always disconnect the vehicle battery and wait the manufacturer-specified time before handling airbag connectors. Follow the vehicle manufacturer's service documentation for torque specifications and reassembly procedures.

3. Installation Steps

Remove the original steering wheel following the manufacturer's procedure. Transfer necessary components (airbag module, wiring, buttons) to the custom wheel if required. Connect all electronic connectors, install the custom wheel onto the spline, and torque the center bolt to specification. Reinstall the airbag module and test all functions.

4. Post-Installation Testing

After installation, verify that the airbag warning light is off, heating functions work, all buttons respond, and cruise control or lane assist systems operate normally. Road test the vehicle to confirm steering feel and electronic function under driving conditions.
